Hill-Lake is located in Eastland County, Texas. It was operated as a producing oil field until the mid-1960s when Lone Star Pipeline Company converted it into a single-cycle gas storage facility with 5 Bcf of working gas capacity and 50,000 Mcfd of withdrawal capability. Falcon acquired the Hill-Lake facility in 2001 and began a comprehensive program of expansions that have increased working gas to 12.0 Bcf. Hill-Lake is strategically located for gas storage along the entire West Texas to Dallas/Ft.Worth to Carthage energy corridor. Hill-Lake offers storage, peaking and load-following services, parking, loaning and balancing services along this important gas transportation link. Hill Lake's maximum withdrawal and injection capacity is 500,000Mcfd and 400,000 Mcfd, respectively.
Falcon has installed a state of the art gas processing plant here at Hill-Lake. The NGL plant is capable of processing up to 60,000 Mcfd of natural gas and yielding 120,000 gallons per day of Y-grade NGLs.
