Worsham-Steed Storage is a depleted oil and gas reservoir strategically located near large reserves of natural gas as well as the rapidly expanding gas-fired power generation market serving the greater Dallas/Ft.Worth metroplex. Falcon acquired the facility from Texas Utilities Fuel Company (TUFCO) in 2000. Worsham-Steed has recently been expanded commencing operations in October 2007. As part of the Worsham-Steed Phase I expansion, Falcon constructed a new 60-mile, 450,000 Mcfd, 24" pipeline (the "Worsham-Steed Pipeline") from the Worsham-Steed Gas Storage Facility in Jack County, Texas south to three interconnections with the North Texas Pipeline (36"), the Atmos Line "X" (36") and the Energy Transfer Cleburne Extension (36"). The Worsham-Steed pipeline was placed in service in October 2007. The Worsham-Steed Pipeline began providing third-party transportation service in December 2007.
Worsham-Steed has the capability of processing up to 60,000 Mcfd of natural gas yielding up to 120,000 gallons per day of Y-grade NGLs. This storage facility has a working gas capacity of 23 Bcf and withdrawal capacity to 450,000 Mcfd. Injection and withdrawal capacity equal 450,000 Mcfd.
